The new Color Bars record Prosopopoeia is all done!  It's called Prosopopoeia because despite being an inanimate object, it's very much alive and acts as a friend or loved one often does, at times cruel but ultimately understanding and supportive.  And you can get drunk or stoned with it.  Be sure to order it here on Nov 15 2011!

New Color Bars album almost done (we promise) and it sounds GOOD.  Though we can't claim to have reached the height of artistic mastery that Tommy Seebach has, we feel like we've gotten pretty close.  In case you haven't seen this, you might want to break out the moccasins and faux leather tassles before pressing play...

Whenever people ask about The Color Bars' band name, I usually fumble through a slightly labored explanation of the phenomenon known as synesthesia and the experience of "seeing" sonic textures in music as bars of color with varying thicknesses and lengths, inevitably boring both the person who asked the question and myself in the process.  From now on, I'm just going to tell them to watch this video.  Pay close attention.

Thought this was cool, if a little horrifying.  Kind of wish this guy would animate one of our videos.  Warning: not for young children or for anyone who was forced to piano against their will when they were one.  For everyone else, enjoy.
